MENTAL OBSTACLES IN SPORTS
Mental blocks are psychological obstacles that prevent sportsmen and women from performing at peak levels.
They can be confused with performance anxiety, as they both involve a challenging setting that arises in sport and forces athletes to either ‘fight’ against the perceived obstacle, or take ‘flight’ and avoid the situation.
Mental blocks in sport happen frequently , yet many may not recognize they happen as they hold the appropriate techniques to quickly overcome them.
For some athletes a mental obstacle can be something that is stopping them from progressing in their career and/or development. Hence it’s important to find out the root cause of a mental block and how to overcome it.

OBJECTIVES
- Get to the root cause of your mental obstacles and remove them permanently in a short amount of time.
- Create internal changes which will allow you to perform at peak levels and enable you to progress in your career and/or development.
PROCESS
- We will start with a thorough holistic initial assessment during which we will look for mental obstacles, asses your emotional, mental and physical life history, and what we will accomplish.
- An active session is the next step. We will create internal changes which will allow you to perform at peak levels and enable you to progress in your career and/or development.
- A couple of weeks later there will be a reassessment …
- Followed by a second active session, should it be required.
REQUIREMENTS
Participants can be either amateur or professional sportswomen or sportsmen who’s mental obstacles are holding them back in their sport performance.
